SS ''Patrick Henry'' was the first Liberty ship launched. It was built by the Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corporation at their Bethlehem-Fairfield Shipyard in Baltimore, Maryland, and launched on 27 September 1941.〔Sawyer, L. A. and Mitchell, W. H.
